The flight was cancelled twice had to book an overnight lodge which costed me money and eventually had to drive from Umtata to East London which costed me further money. The flight in East london delayed by 45 minutes due to a broken seat. overall i spent 2000 rands extra which I did not bugdet for.
I was NOT impressed with SAA at all. I checked my flight before leaving my family, but at the airport it was delayed although the webpage was NOT updated!! Instead of arriving in PE at 17:00, I only left Durban at 17:45! And still the flight details on the webpage was NOT updated!!
Extortionately expensive. The plane was very old and noisy. Not a good experience.

Flight from Lusaka to Windhoek was late which meant I could not use the flight from Windhoek to Walvisbay, I had no warning from you about the flight being late which meant I had to make alternative arrangements
SAA/Mango should provide earlier than 24hr check ins. Flight was excellent, plane comfortable and we were even early.

Firstly this was my first maiden international flight, I have flown with my family previously using Emirates. This was my first SAA international experience, we left OR Tambo on the 08/08/2018 to JFK, the flight left an hour and 30 minutes later and the attendants themselves apologized saying that there was a discrepancy with passengers that booked and they were waiting for more passengers. I sat next to a lady with a two year old, I did not have a problem with her or her child because I am a mother myself. The same lady had a five year old in front of her and he husband at the back of the aircraft, she really battled with handling both kids and none of the attendants could assist in trying to get all four of them in one row. We got dinner when we took off, almost 10 hours into the flight I had to walk to the back of the plane to request a snack. No one walked the plane to offer snacks and drinks during the rest of the duration. When I went to back I was told to help myself. We only got breakfast an hour before landing on an almost 16 hour flight. On our return on the 13/08/2018 we were checked into the second row from the front of the plane. The row in front has three seats and we has four seats behind us, I have use my the TV on my husbands side, I could not even get a clear view of the screen, his screens didn't work properly at all. The magazine I had in my holder was wet and there were wrappers from the previous flight still in the holders. When it was time to serve the meals the manner in which the food was announced over the system they use was not professional at all. SAA is our national carrier and they should live the BRAND, will we SAA again to fly international I don't know but it needs to change for betterment of SA.
